I am looking for someone who will break down the hip shimmy - the one that doesn't use knees at all. I attended a lecture by Nelly Mazloum and she demonstrated it, saying that old-time dancers didn't use the knees and that using only the hips was kinder on the knees. But I couldn't take her classes as I was already booked in those days of the week. And then ... sadly she passed away, and her daughter doesn't teach anymore.
